, 2026, pp.679 - 685. The integration of shoreline projection estimations in coastal management and urban planning documents has emphasized the need for simple, efficient shoreline and beach profile change models capable of estimating changes on interannual to decadal timescales. To make long-term projections of beach changes, it is necessary to estimate the impacts of climate change, including changes in both the wave climate and local mean sea level. While it is known to have many limitations, the most commonly used model for estimating sea-level rise impacts on beach profiles is the Bruun Rule. This work proposes a new approach for integrating water level changes in an equilibrium-based model of shoreline and beach changes. The proposed approach, which can be implemented in other similar models, integrates wave and water level drivers occurring at different timescales to explore their interaction in equilibrium-based models. Preliminary results are presented on a macrotidal beach and compared to previous equilibrium model simulations. Finally, the physical interpretation of the proposed formulation and future adaptations to this work are discussed. (10.1007/978-3-032-15477-4_102)

, 2026. The Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games 2024 were unique in their blend of cultural and historical French venues with sports. Notably, the open water races for Triathlon and Marathon swimming took place in the Seine River between the Pont Alexandre III and the Pont de l’Alma. Swimming in a natural environment presents challenges due to uncontrolled racing conditions, which may vary from Test Events held a year prior or even to practices conducted days before the race. The exact race date can be also uncertain due to factors like strong currents or bad water quality. To help elite athletes perform at their best, it is crucial to reduce these uncertainties. Therefore, we initiated "Projet Eau Libre", funded by the Fondation Groupe EDF, to provide the French Teams with information and predictions about racing conditions, including water temperature, current speed, racing strategies depending on the course, and water quality.
